Friday, March 27, is the date for a special presentation at the Wheeler Opera House. Justin Kauflin, the kid featured along with Clark Terry and Quincy Jones in the documentary "Keep On Keepin' On," is now 28 years old and a highly accomplished jazz musician and composer in his own right. His U.S. tour brings him to the Wheeler this Friday night, along with an equally competent quartet hand-picked by him and Jones.
His new album, "Dedication," is available on iTunes. For comments from the media, go to wheelerassociates.org, click on "learn more," and read the reviews from New York Times and The New Yorker about this young musician.
